Once again the club fished the Paddock at Acorn for a pleasure fishing day with 24 on the bank the anticipation for some great catches were the order of the day and those that fished were not disappointed. With plenty of Carp, Tench, Skimmer Bream and Roach being taken from all over the lake. Cliff Jenkins fished the paste and could not stop catching Tench. Although there were shouts of get back over the Bridge to Rich Heatley he did not let this put him off and according to reports had well over 300lds. Any way campers the good news is take your nets next week the club will be allowed matches from next Sunday. Don’t forget to book in with Mike Stay Alert

17/05/2020 Report on the clubs Pleasure fishing day at Acorn Paddock

With the Club having full use of the Paddock 22 club members took full advantage and with social distancing in place every one had ample room well away from their fellow angler. Fish once again were in a feeding mood with a great deal of anglers having well over 200lds. Just to highlight a few, Ray Cooper on peg 1 taking over 60 Carp, Keith Ray on 33 had 50 and some nice Tench and Bob Feltham on 34 taking over 40 Carp. Tench were showing all over with Mike Chapman having one around 6lds. Well done all for keeping the rules you know it makes sense. The Highlight of the day came in the shape of Mark Walsh, fishing peg 25 he was not happy with being an Angler for the day he tried his hand at becoming an Olympic Diver only to find out when his head popped up above the waves he had received nil points from his fellow anglers.
